In June of 2020 I got the painting bug. I was already in my early sixties. That said, I had dabbled a couple of times before, but was too busy with life to continue this "luxury." 

I grew up in a small town in Southern Germany to parents who had to flee East Germany and start with nothing. Born into a family of musicians, singers and scientists, it was natural to help out, and be surrounded by music, sing in choirs, play tennis, take ballet for 10 years, compete in ice skating, and play piano in concerts from an early age on.

When I was a little girl of 5, I  met God, and never forgot it. When I met Divine again and again in my meditations and my daily life, my yearning for being Home with Divine got stronger and stronger.

In my paintings I long to express the colorful glory and innocent Truth of what I saw, heard, and felt. 

I invite you to join me on my joyful, colorful journey through Divine's wonderland, creating my Happy Art!.

This is what I express in my art. Childlike, Colorful, and Whimsical? Definitely. Exuberant? For sure!  In fact, I will not sell any painting unless I feel exuberance when painting it. Our lives are challenging enough. 

I want my art to uplift, enlighten, and exhilarate you!  Because here's the thing: Divine is who we are. It's our Nature. Our Nature is pure Love.  

As the wise man said: " Whatever we put our attention on will grow stronger in our life." ~ Maharishi  

My attention is on Divine, on Love, on freedom, peace, ease, and deep joy. And on all the colors, shapes, and sounds that comprise it. 

So I invite you to dive in, feel which pieces speak to you, and share them with all those you want to uplift, inspire and bring joy to.

Why I paint the way I paint: 

All my life I've been sensitive to energy. I always prefer "UP" energy. Primary colors, the way I mix and use them, have that pure, high frequency. Those yummy happy colors together with the story-like motives that seem to pour out of me, thrill me to my core. 

Who knows, maybe it's my European background, growing up in the land of castles, crowns, mountains, and elves? All I know is that when a painting is truly done I can't stop smiling, jumping up and down, and clapping my hands like a little girl. 

And oh, yes of course, I hug my canvas often. Don't you?
